Its been a while since Ive updated my blog so thought id better do something about it while i can.. its hot in Melbourne again supposed to be 44 today with yukky winds. Ive found another use for the Alfresco during those hot nights as have no air conditioning the house gets stifling at night and unbearable to sleep in ( wish id gotten air con installed ) anyway I'm rambling on here the Alfresco idea? i throw a mattress out there turn on the fan and presto a nice place to sleep .. its beautiful :))))))) . looks like i will be doing that to night if the cool change doesn't show.
One good advantage of choosing PD Heywood is that have a covered a Alfresco means that the windows in the family and rumpus don't get the hot sun through but unfortunately the kitchen eating area does so I've had to put up some donated curtains on that window to stop the hot sun coming in. but in the winter the suns lovely coming through there.
The front of the house gets alot of heat so eventually will have to get some awnings installed same with the eating area.
The driveway was completed earlier this year and the front landscaping finished in October.. of cause due to the heat lost a few plants even the Cordalyns which Ive been quite surprised at. thought they where drought tolerant.

The landscaper that Landscaped the front yard is back now and getting stuck into the rest of the yard .It sure makes a difference when a few plants and pavers are added.. will ventured out and take some pics. My ex has volunteered to do my decking and gates in Merbau he owes me one and i will buy the materials.
As for the area around the court yard think i will grass it was apprehensive but i don't have lot of space so want to utilise that area as much as possible.
Window coverings Spot light came and gave a quote for dual blinds ugh expensive but fell in love with the material Florentine Melon buff,, matches perfectly with the paint colour. haven't ordered them as moula is low.. so still relying on sheets.
So gradually the house will come together just will take time.
